Disney Cruise Movie Night List | Disney Wonder

Just like any Disney fan would know that watching Cinderella at home before your trip makes that first glimpse of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom that much more breathtaking, there are a several movies that will enhance your experience of the Disney Wonder.
My list is below.
Castaways please add on your own in the comments!

Top Ten Disney Movie Night List
Popcorn? Definitely!

Films I love to watch before my Disney Wonder cruise:
Peter Pan
Aside from pirate night, did you know Tinker Bell is the Disney Wonder's godmother? Peter stars in Disney Dreams and his pirate ship is moored in the Oceaneer Club as an indoor playground as well.

The Little Mermaid
Triton's, the elevator mural and the lobby statue of Ariel aside, the music and character appearances around the ship and in the musicals more than justify another trip Under the Sea.

What would be on Ariel's Netflix queue?
Splash?
Probably.
I bet The Secret of Roan Inish is on Ariel's top five as well.

Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirate night and a deserted island both mean a chance to meet Jack Sparrow! The entire Pirates of the Caribbean franchise serves as my go to packing background movie. Too scary for your crew? Jake and the Neverland Pirates will have younger buccaneers telling, "Yo ho, let's go!"

Pinocchio
Familiarity with this classic makes the ship horn that much sweeter! Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket appear briefly in Disney Dreams while the Blue Fairy is featured more prominently. Don't be the mom who's kid leans over and asks loudly "Who's that?"
Ahem.
Been there.

Lilo and Stitch
They have Stitch meet and greets but for the kids in the clubs they also can enjoy an Aloha Luau and several activities based around the film. My daughter loved the luau and sometimes Stitch drops in as well.

Toy Story
Go back to the original before you see the musical in the Walt Disney Theatre. For kids in the Oceaneer's Lab, they can enjoy Buzz's lab as well as Boot Camp with the Green Army Men!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town
We're on a Christmas cruise so Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be making appearances.

and last but not least,

Steamboat Willie
As a nod to Disney's first Captain, Steamboat Willie Mickey can be found on the bow of the ship.

Honorable Mentions

(with segments in the musicals)
The Lion King
Aladdin
Pocahontas
Snow White
Sleeping Beauty
Beauty and the Beast
101 Dalmatians
Tangled

Fantasia (the Sorcerer's Apprentice segment)

and

Lady and the Tramp
Nothing puts me in the mood for Italian food, specifically Palo like this duo. They're a classic Disney couple make a brief appearance in the Animator's Palate show night
and

Frozen
I don't know how to let it go.

  1. Disney movies and frozen games online always promote the value of good character and education. These components make Disney features stand out from the crowd and work so well in general. I really admire their movies.
